My Current Skin Care Routine

Hello!!! Here's my current routine of products I've been using on my combination oily/dry/acne prone skin. My skin care changes all time, but I do stick with products that have really worked for me and I can't live without.

In the morning...

I can't live without my Clarisonic, I use it in the morning and at night. If you don't own one, get one!

  • Yes To Grapefruit Correct and Repair Daily Facial Scrub (I'm on my 3rd Bottle)
  • Yes To Blueberries Age Refresh Intense Skin Repair Serum
  • Yes To Grapefruit Even Skin Tone Moisturizer SPF 15
In the evening...

  • Yes To Grapefruit Correct and Repair Daily Facial Scrub
  • Yes To Tomato Acne Control Gel Cleanser (2nd Bottle)
  • Yes To Blueberries Age Refresh Intense Skin Repair Serum
  • Yes To Cucumber Soothing Eye Gel
  • Simple Vital Vitamin Night Cream
Also, once or twice a week, I'll use the Arbonne RE9 Advanced Cellular Renewal Masque and FC5 Deep Cleansing Mask. (I can't live without)

Do you have a favorite skin care line you use? I hope you find this helpful. I'll keep you posted when my routine changes.

Product review: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel

Hi guys! Today I have a review of the new Sally Hansen Miracle Gel for you! I've gotten so many compliments on my nails and of course I am not a professional manicurist. Lately, I've been painting my own nails because I just don't have time to get to the nail shop and sit for 2 hours. I'd rather have my pedi done than my nails... just saying! No UV light required and up to 14 days of color & shine, so I gave it a try and bought a set for myself!
The shade I got is Wine Stock, it's a nice vampy red and I figured it's a perfect color to transition to fall colors. There are a ton of shades in this collection (45 total). The Sally Hansen Miracle Gel polishes are available individually or you can get them in a set with 1 color and the special top coat. I got my set at Target and you can also find this at your local Walgreens or Ulta.
The formula is really nice to apply and the coverage was good, the directions say to use 2 coats. The top coat comes in a black bottle and does not require a light to cure. I let my nails dry a bit before I applied the top coat. I did notice the top coat did drag some color off, but once the top coat dried I didn't notice any streaks from that dragging. Dry time with the top coat was good.
I'm pretty impressed with this product and my nails lasted for 12 1/2 days until it started to chip! I'm home with the kiddos and I wash my hands pretty often and also,  I use gloves to wash my dishes. I would definitely recommend this product!
I hope you find this review helpful!
If you want to see a swatch of all the colors here is great blog I found! Enjoy!

How to: Easy Contouring and Highlighting

Hello my beauties!! Sorry I've been M.I.A. Adjusting to our new schedule has thrown me off a bit and my Younique business is keeping me busy, but don't worry I'm back for good! It's a huge trend right now to contour and highlight so I wanted to show you how I contour and highlight my face. I've always semi-contoured my face before I completely learned to contour and highlight. I have a fuller face and the contour helps make the illusion that it is thinner or more sculpted. Contouring and Highlighting is really crucial  for camera and TV. The benefits of contouring is to give you dimension, if not you would look flat. The benefits of highlighting is used when there is a certain part or feature you would like to bring out or "highlight"or "bring focus to" when there are certain flaws you would like to take focus off of.

Here's a guide to help you. I don't take credit for this photo.
Here's a pictorial of how I contour and highlight my face. Btw this was not fun taking a before photo of my face without makeup. =P I definitely prefer to have makeup on for photos lol!
Starting from the left - this is me with no makeup on. Eek!! I took my Younique primer and then applied my Younique cream foundation and applied it all over as you see in the photo and then I took my Real Techniques beauty blender (damp) to blend out the foundation to even out my skin.
I took my Maybelline Fit me Concealer to highlight the areas on face. When you highlight you want to use 2 shades lighter than your skin tone. Then I took my Cover girl invisible concealer to contour my hollows of my cheek, temples, fore head, jaw line and nose. To contour you want to use 2 shades darker than your skin tone. I took my sponge to blend it out.
I used Younique mineral concealer to set the areas I highlighted and then used the darker shade to deepen it more. Apply the rest of your face and there you have it!
Here it is my Before and After! What a huge difference!
I hope you all enjoyed this! I know this may seem a lot or overwhelming, but it's a lot of fun! Give it a try!

Leave me comments or let me know what you would like to learn!

    Thanks for visiting! xoxo
