August Favorites

1. Park Ave Princess Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer - Click here to order
I cannot live without my new favorite bronzer! I was so excited to receive this in my July Ipsy bag! This bronzer lasts all day! I love how its buildable and leaves your skin luminous. I love using this to blend out my contour. I can't believe that I didn't buy this a long time ago. I seriously have been missing out. My sample is running out and you better believe I will be purchasing the full size very soon! This product is seriously amazing on all skin types and awesome for a subtle highlight. $30

2. Betty-Lou Manizer -  Click here to order
Another Bronzer that I wished I purchased a long time ago!! This isn't a matte bronzer, it has enough shimmer to give you that natural sun kissed glow. It is gorgeous for the price you are getting an all-in-one bronzer, eyshadow, shimmer and highlight. I also love that this product is Paraben free, Oil-free and Talc-free. You can find this at your local Kohl's. $24

3.Cover FX Mattifying Primer with Anti-Acne Treatment - Click here to order
I've been hearing so much about this product and I picked up the travel size to try it out at Sephora! I was really shocked to see a primer that had an Anti-Acne Treatment. I was sold on this product that this primer is vegan and free of parabens, fragrance, gluten, mineral oil and talc. This worked for me, it lasted all day and really kept my T-Zone under control, even in the hot and extremely humid South where I live. $16

4. NYX Cosmetics Eye Brow Gel - Brunette - Click here to order
Picked up this product at Target sometime last month and after my first use I was sincerely impressed! It was trial and error for me since I've never used a gel product on my eyebrows. I'm used to using my brow pencil and powder, but this product has made its way into my everyday makeup line up. It is super pigmented, smudge-free and waterproof. A little goes a long way. I love how it keeps my brows in place, fills in my sparse areas and defines my eyebrows. Saves me a lot of time and I'm not having to use multiple products. I am definitely buying all the colors to keep in my kit too!! $7

Again, I am not sponsored by these products and this is my personal opinion and experience!

Thank so much for visiting!! Let me know if there are any products you would like for me to try or review. I love trying out new products!! ;)

Shop our Labor Day Sale and Save up to $30 Off at with code LDAY15 at checkout! Ends September 7th.

Makeup Trend Baking

New, limited-edition energy noir fall 2015 collection!

Let's face it there are so many makeup trends that really have been around for a long, long time. You've been acquainted with contouring and highlighting (strobing) and now we have "baking or cooking" in the mix too!! Yes, its another step in getting that flawless look, but not new, if you didn't know this technique has been in the drag community for years!

Baking is taking translucent loose powder and applying a good of amount of it to sit on your face for 5 to 10 minutes. The heat from your face sets your foundation and concealer, then dusting it off with a fluffy brush leaves you with a crease-less and flawless finish like you haven't seen before.  Kim K's makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic uses this technique on her so you know its legit!

I love how flawless it looks and yes this technique is now a part of my everyday routine! Give it a try and let me know your thoughts on it, any tips to share! Tell me what your favorite translucent loose powder is! I've used Laura Mercier, Elf Cosmetics and Arbonne.
